Rick has produced some of

the finest Latin and Ballroom

dancers in the Hampton Roads area. He hascompeted as a professional in both International Latin and Ballroomcompetition, having studied and

trained under some of the best and teachers in the world.

Rick’s personal commitment to excellence compels him to uphold the highest level of skill in his dancing. He continues to train and perform in both the Latin and Ballroom fields. His dancing is strong and masculine, a characteristic which many male performers struggle to achieve.

Rick’s ability to communicate a vast knowledge and understanding of all dances enables his students to see quality results in a short amount of time. His classes are fresh, exciting and extremely popular throughout the Hampton Roads area. Classes are open and available to dancers of all levels.

Diane Oneal

Diane O’Neal is a professional Ballroom Dancer who for over 25 years has taught and exhibited throughout the region. This Virginia Beach native also successfully competed on the national professional dance circuit, excelling in various styles and consistently placing in the pro open American Smooth division. She currently teaches and exhibits out of Shall We Dance Virginia in Virginia Beach--offering instruction in all styles of Ballroom, Latin, East and West Coast Swing and Cuban Salsa.

During her career on the professional circuit (under the tutelage of Dr. Rickey Thornhill-Geiger,) Diane competed in the Professional American Smooth division, placing as a finalist in numerous Pro Open Championships and has received many top teacher awards when competing Pro Am with her students. She remains one of the region’s most popular performers, choreographing and performing routines for competition and corporate events.

Marie Rants

Marie has been dancing professionally since 1996. Her performance skills have earned her scholarships while receiving a BA in Theater Arts at Old Dominion University. Marie’s passion for dance is evident through her teaching and choreography; she motivates her students to truly express themselves through dance.

In addition to Ballroom and Latin instruction, Marie instructs our Youth Dance Lessons on Saturday Mornings with a Ballet, Jazz and Modern course for children ages 4 and up.

Joan Coiner

Joan has enjoyed dancing as

a major part of her life for

over 20 years. She and her

dance partner, former owner

of Shall We Dance Dan Knight, performed for

conventions, charities, weddings and dance competitions.

Joan is trained in the American Style Ballroom and Rhythm dances and she specializes in Wedding

Preparation as well as Social Dancing. She has a calm, engaging style of teaching and is enthusiastic about dancing.

In 1998 Joan was a finalist in the Open Gold American Rhythm Division at the United States Championships.

Frank Guzman

Frank was introduced to Ballroom and Latin dancing while he was astudent at Arizona State University, Tempe. Upon graduation he enrolled

in a professional training course for ballroom dance instructors.

Frank is qualified in the Bronze, Silver

and Gold levels of the American Style Trophy System and has received training from some of the best qualified dance adjudicators in the North American Dance Teachers Association. He is also a member of the National Dance Council of America.

Frank specializes in the American Rhythm and Smooth styles as well as the International Style, Country and Western and Shag.
